I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been given a no. Only to find that a better, brighter, bigger yes was right around the corner.” — Arlan Hamilton

Hey AINYF Community,

I love this quote by Arlan Hamilton (Arlan) because it just demonstrates the power of resiliency and believing in one’s self.

For anyone who knows Arlan’s story, she is a prime example of someone who says “why the f*ck not?” and then refused to let any of the naysayers and those who doubted her stand in her way.

Often in life, we have doors shut in our face time and time again.

The question is, are we going to allow these doors to stop us from continuing to pursue our dream or are we going to continue to press on and believe in ourselves and what we want to accomplish?

On the journey to alcohol-consciousness, there may be setbacks in which you stumble or relapse.

This isn’t the end of the world by any means.

It’s just another chance for us to get right back on the horse and prove to ourselves we have what it takes to build the version of ourselves that we desire.

When things don’t go our way, having a glass half-full mentality can make all the difference to allow us to turn those lemons into lemonade and keep pushing forward on our journey.

One door closed is another door opened somewhere else that can offer amazing results.

Keep looking for that open door with your reward on the other side.
