Hey G...yes, Medium is in trouble.

My wife works for another company in the Bay area, and she says that they had a host of people from Medium apply because the company is doing so poorly, and they are in fear of their jobs. They recently had a pretty large layoff as well.

You are not alone in the pay category, as I've seen any money from Medium reduced dramatically as well.

It's about them saving as much money right now, and I've already started exploring other options to get my writing out there because I don't know how much longer Medium will be around.
